went once a year ago and I wouldn't go again.

Service was painfully slow and there were only about half a dozen others in, food was below average, not very nice inside and pricey.

The Italian next door was far nice and that's shut down which is surprising considering it was always chocker on the few occasions I went there.

Yeah but that Italian was ran by the people who run Tabarrinis on Navigation Point, I've informed the Bunker of my appalling experience we had in there last year, I've not set foot in the place since, it's no surprise to me that Lungimare didn't last, Tabarrinis is for sale as well.

It closed down on New Years Day due to dispute with the landlord (allegedly) He is now cooking from the Seaton Hotel which is owned by Lee Pennick and is reportedly doing well

Is that the ugliest building possible to put in that location, it looks like a 1960's library.

I think the bloke from Seaton opened tabbarrinis originally but sold it to the nutter who is ruining now. Total head the ball him like I wouldn't set foot in there either but the seaton gadgie is OK

The bloke who had the Lungamare also has Tabarini's. He has sold out again and the same Italian has it. However, The lungamare has moved into the Seaton Hotel and is renting the restaurant in there. These takeovers have all happened in the last couple of months, and my parents regularly go to Tabarini's as do a couple of neighbours. they all seem to reccomend Tabarini's. My Fiancee and I frequently go to Lungamare in the Seaton, which i would reccomend. So either or really. However, i have also hear Hornsey's is $hite and I cant imagine the food being fresh cause the place is always empty

Al Syros is ok, but for me you can't beat Farrars.

Was there again last Saturday night AND Sunday lunch- both excellent.

Farrars?

Last Saturday I had roasted belly pork with a potato and black pudding mash, baby sweetcorn and mange tout. The wife had salmon fishcakes and fresh vegetables.

They also do a variety of fish dishes, rack of lamb, steaks, lasagne etc- all good stuff.

Their Pinot Grigio is nice too, all highly recommended!

Would agree with Mr Ripper about Farrars , top notch. I have heard Chimneys in Blackhall is ok, they do a mean mixed grill by all accounts( owned by Lee Pennick as well)
