Just been diagnosed with a condition called Bells Palsy. It's not serious and apparently doesn't last very long, it's were the muscles in one side of your face relax if you like, not painful but very annoying...............................
Has anyone ever had it, or no anyone that has/

I know that Canada's former Prime Minister had it, if that's any help?

Yes, a festival mate of mine had it, we really thought he'd had a stroke when we saw him, but he said it's appearance only, he had no other effects and he was right as rain in a couple of weeks.

If your eye on the affected side won't close properly, you need to use eye drops until it's better, or your eye will dry out. You can buy some in Boots or you can make your own by dissolving three quarters of a spoon of salt in some boiled water, then cooling it down to luke warm, and bathing your eye with it. Do make sure it's cooled right down first , tho

A work colleague of mine had it - like Pooliekev's mate he thought he had suffered a stroke. He gradually recovered over a period of a few weeks.
Here's a link about it if you've not already looked. http://www.bellspalsy.org.uk/whatisit.htm
Hope you're better soon.

A mate of mine in Nottingham got it too. At the time he was riding in World Superbikes and it caused him no end of problems. He described it as similar to that numb feeling after you leave the dentists.

Get well Mrs P.

My mum's friend had it and it looked really serious, but she's absolutely fine now, it doesn't last long at all. Hope you get better soon
