It's superb.

It's not the old Poppadoms, it's farther along nearer the Tapas bar.

100% quality.

That good?

I'm home this weekend, think I'll give it a shot.

Any recommends from the menu?

Been 3 times since Xmas. It's quite small so best book.

There are lots of items you don't normally find in a "Hartlepool Indians" if you know what I mean, and loads you do normally find aren't there!

They used to have a restaurant in Eaglescliffe which was equally divine.

I had their version of Chicken Chom-Chom last time which was creamy, nicely spiced and the chicken was Top-Notch. (it wasn't called Chom-Chom though, and I can't find the menu!)

When we asked my Mam & Dad where they wanted to go for a recent anniversary, they chose Cinnamons, honest it's really, really good.

You sell it well!

Cinnamons it is.

Cheers

Next door to the Japanese place I think.

I agree with EAD, we have been the once but it was very nice. The mrs had a starter called Juri which was recomended by one of the waiters, it was superb, I have never seen anything like it in any of the other Indians around town

When we went it was fairly quiet which was just as well as the littleun decided to have a bit of a scream

Now this is a restaurant I've not been to.

I went to Spices the other week, that is much improved from what it used to be and I would recommend it. Whilst I like the food in Poppadums, the place is very small and not very private. The last time we were in a group of around a dozen women come in, looked like they'd been out all day, within 10 minutes they were singing Amarillo banghead, thankfully we were already finished and about to leave.

Well we ended up in popadoms , the food was ok and the service alright although they did try to snatch our popodoms and pickles before we had finished!

Not been to Spices for a few months as the last time we were in it was GASH.

Must try the other place now tho

Jonny I'm not being funny but I used to deliver certain products to the Dilshad, and a guy who worked with me also ate at the Dilshad regular. Once he seen the state of the kitchen he never returned. In fact he was physically sick in the back alley when he came out.

All of the food (Chicken, meat & veg) were all of the floor, Yes the floor not the work tops. When we arrived the chefs simply moved the food with their feet to create an isle type approach in order for us to gain access and deliver the products. Frozen Food was just dropped in a boiling pan in order to defrost. Seriously i would not advise anyone to eat at that place!!!!

I don't think you need to book, the times I've been in recently it's been really quiet.

The food is superb though, the best Indian we've ever had in the town for me it should be busier.

I'm still a fan of the Seaton Tandoori after your recommendation.

I could tell you all a story or two about Dilshad but I cant for legal reasons. lets just say, I would never even consider eating there. In would sooner eat raw chicken off the floor that has not been cooked!!!

Oh that's all right then. I went to an Indian in Hartlepool in 1996 but it was at the top of Church Street I believe.
Mind, there's nothing saying that one had hygienic kitchens either. :uhoh:
