It was almost inevitable because the bottom league teams were bound to run out of luck sometime but I don't think it will be greeted with much joy across the football fraternity.

56'000 for two fourth division teams is difficult to knock.

I think a lot of people in Milton keynes supported, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Man utd etc.. because like in any town without a footy team its an identity and guarenteed some success.

However, since this winkleman feller came in,poached the name they have been consistently getting crowds of 7k plus, and to take 25k to wembley is not to be sniffed at.

I reckon they could easily become a half decent championship side in the very near future, the population of the town will see to that.

I'd expect them to get 12-13k plus if they do get there, and for a place with a population of something like 300k it looks like they are here forever whether people like it or not!

Did you see their "celebrations" after the final whistle - I bet Ince told them to put their celebrations on ice until they woon promotion. Just felt like a normal League win - nothing like when the Dons won the Cup 20 years ago.

mind you, if they do keep improving, then it's unlikely anybody in the future will beat the record defeat inflicted on them by...............................I wonder who that was?

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Congrats to MK, they took the competition seriously and have got their rewards a TROPHY and no doubts a nice wad of cash to go with it.
