I'll tell you what, if Chip had walked to Belmont Gardens the scene of my former paper round and back to the Vic by 5:15pm he must have assumed the opening goal was the winner and departed pretty bloody quickly.

Used to give me chillblaines that paper round.

i spoke to jeff winter just before the end of the game at the top of the steps on the millhouse terrace, he actually remarked that the ref travelled with the swansea squad, didn't sound like he was jesting either!!!! rage

Was he really as bad as I'm reading or is a lot of it post match disappointment?? I couldn't get on Poolsworld last night. My regular source says he was atrocious like.

I remarked at half time that the Pools management should have gone into the ref's changing rooms, and surrendered the game 3-1, and save the bother of going through the motions of the second half - seeing as how all three of the officials were that intent on handing the points to Swansea anyway.
