Game Plan?

I missed all the football at the weekend and have been catching up on the events of Saturday...

Quote from DW on the BBC regarding the penalty miss...

"My only criticism is that he's just come on the pitch and is not really warmed enough to take the penalty and other players should have stepped up to the plate."

Err...surely we have a penalty taker chosen before a game? Or even as part of any game plan? I can't believe DW hasn't selected a couple of tried and tested penalty takers and it's not just a free for all on the pitch?

Maybe it was Mackay, McCunnie, or Collins?

I'd have have thought it might have been Mackay actually and he wasn't on the field.

.....and who's to say who Wilson nominated wouldn't have fooked it up? Anyone can miss a penalty not everyone has the bottle to take one.

and who's to say he didn't have a nominated penalty taker but chose not to name them on the radio, instead keeping that sort of criticism for behind closed doors?

erm.. I think I am agreeing with you, anyone can miss a penalty. Shiit happens.

Who could disagree with 'darlorgoingup' on our rivals board on the issue though;

"here how dare you say he is " a fanny lyk his penelty " yas could of all took a penelty lyk that and yas would of put it to the corner flag
if he wernt a gd player he wudnt play for boro ya thick c**ts"
