I'm sure there was something dodgy going on when they were taken over by that Brooks Mileson.

Apparently he put a lot of money in to get the club to the Scottish premier but i'm sure every club in the scots premier gets a big wedge from sky?

He must have known they wouldn't get the crowds, especially moving them quite a few miles away from their home base and gretna hasn't the biggest population north of the border.

Something dodgy definitely!!!

Yes with Mileson in hospital apparently the bills haven't been getting paid. He does have a son who is also on the board at Gretna, god knows what he's doing while all this mess is escalating!!!

Mileson won a Lifetime Local Heroes Award from the Northern Echo at Tall Trees when my dad was there. Apparently the bloke smokes 80 fags and drinks about 10 bottles of Lucozade Sport a day. I think life's just catching up with him a bit.

From what I gather he's a proper philanthropist, I don't think he'd be doing anything dodgy given all he's done for the projects he's been involved with.

If businesses don't make money, that tends to happen.

Gretna never were a contender, they've maxed out their resources. After 3 successive promotions the wheels were bound to fall off. A lot of Brooks' money is tied up in projects after he dies - I don't know if Gretna or Crest are part of that, but he's always given money to places that need support (I think Carlisle got a fair chunk from him back when they were struggling).

It's a stab in the dark to imply corruption though - I can't see it being the case

EDIT: Gretna aren't, he withdrew after he took ill from a brain infection
