Well done Joel on an amazing 90-minute performance. Full of pace, trickery and skill. And congrats to Danny Wilson too for coaxing the mercurial Antipodean back to his very best after a series of niggling injuries. And credit to Wilson as well for getting Andy Monkhouse back to his best! Free from disciplinary issues and injury. Well done Danny, Joel and Monkhouse! clappp clappp clappp clappp clappp Play-offs? bbolt

Porter has now got the freedom to play his normal game, when barker doesnt play he gets the ball played to his feet and him and Mackay are starting to build a partnership.

I dont think it is anything to do wilson, if barker was fit wilson would still be playing him, maybe he has now realised that we play better when barker doesnt play

That's right. Slag Wilson off when it's going wrong, slag him off when it's going right. Give him some credit FFS.

Im not slagging Wilson off but I dont think he is on the ball when it comes to things like tactics and substitutions. Wilson is starting to play the team which the fans have been asking for for weeks. Its working and long may it continue

To be fair, he left that side of it to Geroge Wood.

to me its obvious that you either play porter or barker, but not the 2 together. you play with a target man and wingers or you play with 2 mobile forwards, be that moore and porter, brown and porter or mckay and porter.

people keep saying i dislike barker and that simply isnt true. i just dont think he suits the style of play we are best at.

the most noticeable thing for me tonight was the performance of willie boland. ive been very critical of him this season but i thought he was excellent tonight. it obviously suits him to have mobile payers around him.

to be honest it was hard to fault a single pools player . the team looked organised, balanced and once the monsoon passed the movement and passing was a joy to behold.

frankly there are very few sides in this division that can cope with humps, monky and joel down that left flank, because they are all great passers of the ball and intelligent footballers.

great game, great performance, great atmosphere. wish there had been a few more there and we had got a couple more goals but overall im delighted.

i do however take the point of those that are saying it took an injury to barker and the recall of thompson to get wilson to change his mindset. you do have to ask the question of the manager, why havent we played with this kind of line up more often ?

That's an excelelnt appraisal Chip. You can tell you've played football at a decent level.

Monkhouse was faultless - he seemed to be everywhere in the first half. In fact I think everyone put in a top performance - Mackay missed a sitter but otherwise he seems like one to keep.

Didn't even need subs - that says a lot!

He might have missed a sitter, but he almost scored a sensational goal.

One thing you can say in favour of Wilson is this:
He signed Gibb, Antwi, Elliott, and possibly one or two more who are his players but no longer get a game. He could have done a Martin Scott and persisted with them through to disaster but he has come clean and ditched them.
As far as I can see the only bones of contention are Barker and to a lesser extent McCunnie. The whole "Wilson is crap" argument revolves around those two players. You could add Budtz to those but I don't count him in the same category as Wilson's other signings because he wasn't brought in to replace what we already have.
Now if he changes this team while it is winning that'll be a different story. I'll be prepared to accept then he has lost his marbles.

Obviously it's not ok for him to miss sitters but the lad is showing immense potential and should be stuck with for a long run in the side Tree. I mean Grave.

All strikers miss sitters. He scored another and almost scored a sensational one. With that sort of ratio in 90 minutes it appears he's the type of lad who will always score goals.
