I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this piece in last nights Mail. It is one of the few comments by a Pools player in living memory when the player isn't just trotting out the usual run of the mill, cliche ridden claptrap they usually spout about.

He basically admitted that these recent months have not been a happy period for him at the club. He said he has been fit for around three months and was getting increasingly frustrated at sitting on the bench. But, after having clear the air talks with DW this now seems to have resolved matters and he is back in the team and back doing what he does best.

Although we all probably guessed this was the case anyway it makes a change for a player to come out and say it and/or the Mail to actually print it...

I'm not surprised nobody mentioned it. The clique on here concentrate on criticisms only.

He also thanked Danny Wilson for having faith in him, not that 75% of this board would believe that he actually a) said that or b) meant it sctatchinghead

It was mentioned, I mentioned it then madjohn copied out the full quote

I'm sure everyone is over the moon they have put any differences behind them, it can only be beneficial as he's one of our best players. It doesn't make the fact he's hardly featured since his return from injury any less ridiculous though does it?

I find it all the more annoying. We have been missing on the best footballers in our team for months because of a seemingly a fall out with the manager. We have been missing his link up with Humphreys and the way he adds balance to the team all because of this. This has potentially cost Hartlepool United points. Shouldn't this have all been sorted out ages ago as it's to the detriment of the football club? No individual is bigger than that but ego's have got in the way of the job in hand. They are both to blame but it's Danny Wilson's head result fall on.

The only positive from the interview is that it's now sorted which I'm over the moon with, but confirmation of what has gone on is one huge frustrating negative.

And when Monkhouse says that it somehow doesn't seem like such a daft idea.

There is an element on this board who must still be aroused at the visit of the tooth fairy, who even now are organising their lives around a visit to Wembley in May, for Danny has spoken.
A sublime, clappy happy willingness to shout up the chimney to Santa has been transferred in its totallity to their adult lives in the bright eyed belief that if they try really hard and believe even harder with their eyes tightly closed.... dreams will come true.... Dream on suckers.
Roll on next season.............unless!

Was this clearing of the air before or after (alledgedly) he told Herr Wilson to F**K off on saturday during the game

Did you hear that too?
I was in the CK and saw / heard Monky turn round and shout this towards the bench area. I wasn't sure if it was in response to something said from our bench or theirs...
Anyway who cares? I've had 'disagreements' with my boss before but he still promoted me!
Come on Monky, one of my favourite current players too!
And just heard 1-0 up tonight!! COME ON!!!
