Has the potential to be a decent keeper, is better than barrett, (even-though he played well on saturday) and over-all hasnt played as bad as most are making out! :sweeeet: :-o Infact in quite a few matches this season hes made numerous spectacular saves!

But the 'numerous spectacular saves' are far outweighed by the numerous spectacular cock ups

what a load of rubbish.

keepers are meant to make saves. if they make a good save then well done but that's what he's meant to do.

Making a couple of good saves every now and then does not compensate for his blunders.

Im not saying he`s a great keeper, i just think he`s not as bad as what people are making out, we`ve had a few worse than him over the years. I can understand ali g and bullock and co getting butchered cos they`ve never shown an ounce of ability in there time here in my opinion but i think big Jan has shown glimpes of his talent! Ok he`s made mistakes but its unfair to make a scapegoat out of him when theres others in the team who have made regular blunders which have cost us valuable points!

even DW is clueless and he has realised what a clown budtz is!!!

FFS Wake up will you, the last two games would not have been clean sheets if cock fingers had been in goal.

I'm sure he's a nice lad and everything but I just don't think he's ever going to be good enough. Saying we've had worse doesn't really stand up as an argument, yes we have had worse but I wouldn't want to be watching Rob Moverley or Steve Jones in goal now either. We've also had far worse players at the club than Ali Gibb and Sandra.

Having cocks for fingers is an unfortunate affliction and I hope he goes on and doe's alright but I don't think it should be for us, every time I watch the lad I feel as if it's shortening my life.

A goalkeeper who can't catch a football is no good to anyone. The man is a liability. He can't catch it when it's high and he can't stop it when it's low. Simple basic requirements. In the friendly with the Mags he let a simple catch through his hands. It was obvious then that he was a liability. Not good enough. Get rid. refred

I aint going to get into an argument mate, i asked if you went to games because anyone who has seen janice cockfingers play would not post quotes like the one you did, that post has to rate among the top ten worst posts in bunker history.

surely your just winding people up and trying to get a debate going, if not then your wearing rose tinteds.

every time the ball went near budtz i held my breath thinking we were going to concede.
ALB is a much better keeper!!!

it wouldn't be so much of a problem if they were erect , at least there's a chance the ball would bounce out. Unfortunately his fingers seem to be flaccid penises, and simply let the ball through.

Which rules him out of a career in porn too

I say stick with Lee-Barrett as he can catch, kick straight and organise his defence fairly well. I like Budtz, although over the last few months mistakes have crept in to his game. i.e. Cheltenham (A) - during which he also made some excellent saves to keep their score at 1.
I understand that when he makes a mistake it more often than not leads to a goal but even the 'great' keepers made high profile errors during games. I don't think getting on his back is the right thing to do, for example during the Northampton game - he made a bad error, fair enough - the arseholes in the town end shouting 'dodgy keeper' are just plain out of order. But the blame cannot rest solely with the goalkeeper as our forwards/midfielders had numerous chances to score against Northampton but never took them - nobody was slating them!!
