Shouldn't they give a discount for the second game if you go to the first one? £36 is a lot to pay out in four days. When I bought my ticket for the Gillingham game, the lass said "do you want one for Tuesday as well?" I said: "Is there an offer on like?". She said "nor", so I said "I'll not bother then". Where are the incentives Pools? There's loads of people get in that ground for free (Howletch College, schools, Pools on the Move, etc). Where are the rewards for the loyal, full-cash paying fans? Darlow only charge a tenner for adults and you get in for a fiver when they have two games in four days! Sort it out FFS.

Great post for the last 3 seasons there has been young people selling tickets outside the ground for as little as a fiver and that is why i'm not renewing my season ticket.

Sod off.

Unless they're gonna give proper and better discounts on season tickets then they shouldn't be deciding to reduce other tickets during the season.

Call yourself a fan?! If that's what you want and it's what 'the scum' do then maybe you should watch them instead

Totally missed my point. banghead banghead banghead banghead banghead And I agree Ripper, season ticket holders should be better treated. My mate didn't renew his season ticket cos he had a back operation and wasn't sure when he could get out and about. He missed the first four games and went down to enquire about getting a season ticket at a reduced rate and was told he would have to pay full price. It's all about selling your product and being flexible for the customer. Pools don't do that.

I don't understand why they should have to reduce the price of tickets when we play two games in four days if you just turn up at the club shop wanting them. People who buy in advance or have season tickets don't get any such perks. I agree with your point about your mate not getting some money off the price of his season ticket

Darlo may only charge a tenner or a fiver but I reckon they could charge a quid and 20p for kids and they'd still get no one in 'cos they are shit. Much like their opposition.

Mind, I can't defend the admission prices 'cos I don't go but when I did, I just thought 'it's what it costs.' Pay or don't pay.

I wouldn't be surprised if they brought back the early bird discount for season tickets next season. That and getting rid of Wilson should sell a few more.

I would implement offers from the start of a season and not during one, due to season ticket holders already paying in advance.
As for ticket prices, I believe they should be reduced to no more than 15 quid adults. 9 quid student. 6 quid kids/OAPs.

I think if you collect 4 stubs between certain time periods you should get a ticket half price for an adult and free for kids/OAPs.

Cheaper = better atmosphere, bigger crowds, more sales behind stands, so chance pools can make cash there along with more program sales.

Lets stop these joke prices. Might as well go to sunderland for a quid extra and see prem footy. If they get by on cheap prices then im sure we can too.

for the first and probably last time i find myself in agreement with obafemi.

its not a case like kev says, of pay or dont pay, if only it were that simple.

before this season i hadnt missed a home game for 8 years.

i didnt get a season ticket for myself this time around as i couldnt really afford it once they took away the discount and stuck on the increase, so i have been paying as i went along.

i now find myself working for just above the minimum wage. when you are taking home less than 800 quid a month, as a lot of folk are doing in the town, and your outgoings are over 600 you are left with about 40 quid a week to live on.

there are 4 pools home games this month. to sit and watch all of them would cost me 80 quid and i simply cannot afford that. im not going without food to watch blokes on 60 grand a year kicking a ball about.

i did warn at the start of the season that by whacking up seats to 20 quid and by removing the early season discount the club was running a big risk of seeing sub 4000 attendances if the team wasnt performing well.

i got shouted down by a lot of people who accused me of being an idiot and scaremongering. " its only an extra couple of quid " they said, nobody is going to have an issue with that.

well clearly people do have an issue with it because attendances have slumped.

under normal circumstances following a 4-0 win, with a decent away following expected, and with the manager talking about the play offs you would expect a crowd of getting on for 5000 tomorrow night.

it may struggle to hit 4000. sadx

It's another example of what was the workingman's game now outpricing the workingman out of the game. Tell you what, imagine what Boro fans must have been feeling yesterday. Their best chance ever to win the FA Cup and their millionaire players played like they didn't give a fuck. No wonder the workingman is questioning whether he can justify paying out so much money. If Pools keep increasing prices at the rate they are, I can see more and more people watching Northen League football. And who are people supposed to be able to afford to bring two or three kids? Those are your next generation.

If we go to Tescos' twice in four days, we still pay the same for a Warburtons. I BELIEVE IT'S CALLED BUSINESS.

I think you might have hit on something there:
-- Keep Wilson after the promotion season (in the full knowledge he'll do nowt in div 3) because everyone's euphoric and will buy shitloads of tickets.
-- then when things work out as mediocrely as expected, get rid of him so there's a general uplift in interest and even bigger shitloads of tickets are sold.

Pure genius! hats off to IOR!

Bit of a shyte example that snowy. I believe warburtons are fairly priced unlike the cost of watching league one football at the vic.

aye but if you go to asda on any given day after half five, you can get bread on the whoopsie isle for next to nothing. i would never ever pay full price for a loaf of bread. not when ive got 100 quid to live on for a month.

I BELIEVE ITS CALLED LIVING ON THE MARGINS OF SOCIETY.
I thouight you said the 'margarines of society ' for a second....so there's no butter either eh...?

it should be an attacking game that's for sure. They should come here for three points and should play like such, and so should Pools. The pressure is off both teams for the time being regarding relegation/play-off issues, so it should be an entertaining game. Huddersfield are also the type of club you want to get promotion from League Two for, these are the kinds of games we want to see Pools involved in, not against Barnet, Accrington, Morecambe, Dagenham etc. No matter what anyone says, it's much better to play bigger clubs on a regular basis. I was hoping for this reason Bradford might have done better this year, never mind. We might get Sheff Wed again with a bit of luck
