I hope it does wonders for his confidence because he was still shaky at times namely the way he dealt with Facey's unbelievably tame shot in the first ten minutes and a couple of flaps from corners.

The penalty save was very good but I'd also like to add he did rashly concede it.

Still an improvement on recent goalkeeping displays though.

Was a debatable penalty never mind a sending off! the ball was WELL out of play when he hit their player, no opportunity whatsoever!

It was stonewall.

No way was it a sending off. You have to deny a goalscoring opportunity, the ball was already in the Rink End when he clattered him and it was wide of the goal.

After seeing the replay it was a certain penalty though.

must admit, i didn't think it was a penalty either. the ref's positioning was dreadful, he was like freddy mitchell and alvin smith rolled into one. the ball hit the back of the stand before alb was anywhere near the player, therefore it was not a goalscoring opportunity.

I thought ALB's Momentum took him into there player and knocked the lad over, But by the time he actually caught him the ball had already hit the roof of the Rink End

How can it be a penalty when the ball was out of play before the "alleged" foul took place
