IT WAS JUST THAT... a cartoon character. It's also syndicated world wide and has got tourist potential believe it or not. Loosen up and take advantage of the situation.

Andy Capp is like a lot of things of the past in Hartlepool; like sea coal, the Queens Rink and seaton baths. they all belongs in a long passed era and are completely irrelevant to the current day town or population.
