Somebody like Hamilton at Wrexham?? Reynolds at Darlo?? Torquay, Luton, Bournemouth, Wimbledon??

Need we go on. You simply aren't thinking it through...

I think you will find that we played in the 'second tier' before IOR were in charge

When?

Do you have an alternative history of football all in your head?

No we didn't, IF we had been promoted to the Championship (the second tier) under Scotty it would have been the first time in our history. This division is as high as we've ever got

hahaha!! I'm glad somebody cleared that up for him!!

Before IOR in 89 years 2 promotions, no play off campaigns. Hartlepool United = a laughing stock.

After IOR in 10 years 2 promotions, 5 play-offs campaigns, 1 play-off final with an opp

Just a minor point, but the 'old Pools' couldn't have qualified for the play offs as they didn't exist for most of their history...other than that, we are of a similar mind.

I think I've said all this before but ....

Mark7poolie, give your head a shake. Perhaps you'd like to get rid of IOR and bring in an ambitious businessman like Garry Gibson or George Reynolds? We'd end up bankrupt and worse off than Luton or Bournemouth when the novelty wears off.

Then give your head another shake and just get it fixed in the limited amount of grey matter in there that, as PJ points out, we are in fact 'living the dream'. The last 10 years is just about as good as it gets. It's not perfect, and some mistakes have been made, as Ken has admitted. But we have been indulged to the tune of £5m of his money in that time, and if he makes the odd mistake, we can bet he'll do his best to put it right. So, after Scotty (whose appointment was supported by many on here) comes 28 unbeaten and promotion.

No manager has had as much money to throw around as Danny Wilson. He doesn't always spend it as we would wish, and it is not enough to get the best available players. Not just Daryll Duffy and Anthony Elding but others have gone elsewhere because we have been outbid or the idiots think Leeds or Swansea are bigger clubs.

Get rid of IOR? You're having a laugh.
