"Whatever we can do for us to get results we need to do. If that means me leaving the club then that is what needs to be," was the quote from Gary Peters after leaving Shrewsbury today. That after getting them to the playoff final last season.

He's too arrogant to leave, he thinks he's doing a good job.

I think it may well be a case of IOR not renewing his contract at the end of the season.

IOR are the ones who need to go , along with Wilson, Green, Turner and the players. We are a club on a downward spiral and fresh new owners with ambition and drive and prepared to invest are what is required.

IOR have hit the buffers.

Right ronaldo so we are getting rid of, in no particular order....

IOR
Wilson
The players
Green
Turner

Sounds like a plan to me

Shall we get rid of the ground whilst we are at it?

Getting rid of IOR will achieve what?

New owners will be put off straight away by the amount of debt IOR have written OFF. Imagine were we would be without IOR writing off that operating loss..

Yep your a genius ronaldo... stpid banghead

Whilst it might be a silly comment I think it does raise the question as to why IOR are not taking action now to halt the decline. You have to learn from your mistakes and IOR got it wrong two seasons ago by holding on to Scott for too long. Have they lost interest? Have they run out of ideas? or have they overstretched the budget and can't afford to get rid of Wilson/Butterworth/Turner/Woods before their contracts expire?

And just how does a football club "get rid" of it's owner?

Sell itself to someone else while they're not looking?

There's some right crap posted on here sometimes.

Are you proposing buying the club and investing as much as IOR do like?

Buffoon.

When Harold Hornsey ( God Bless Him ) realised he couldn't take the club any further he put up his hands and said so. IOR came along and have definitely taken the club further. I think the question Mr Ronaldo is asking is have IOR now reached a similar stage?????? If so then they need to 'do a Harold'. If not it would be nice if they could tell us so and at the same time tell us what their plans are for the club. This is not a criticism of IOR just a request to 'clear the air' like. sctatchinghead

I think that considering the amount of money IOR have pumped into Pools over the last couple of years they have the right to run pools how they like and I have no problem with them not "clearing the air" as I feel they have no air to clear. As someone has already posted whether times are good or bad IOR keep themselves to themselves which is ok by me.

What we do know is that they are still trying to buy back the ground from the council, this can only be a good thing and surely proves their commitment as I refuse to believe that after all these years and all the money they have spent that they have done it just to get the land that Victoria Park sits on!!

What money have IOR pumped in? What they have pumped in has only been to get more back ie, few more portakabins and a moroccan bazaar type structures behind town end and mill house stands.

Every other club has invested just as much. Look at the money been pumped into Darlow and they are getting 1500 less than we were when we were going great guns 4 year ago.

Anyone who thinks IOR will bring us success is an IDIOT!!!

Are you for real?? they have absorbed a £500k loss EACH season for the last god knows how many years.

Without them we'd be f**ked, give your head a shake

Given the result of changing the manager last time round, maybe they have learnt from their mistakes.
Though to be fair the league position was not the main reason for Scott's suspension and ultimate dismissal.

500k a year is nothing in football. Success is a title, championship football, cup 4th or 5th round, maybe a giant killing. Anyone remember that happening in the last 10 years? or even the last 100.

No. but I do remember 2 promotions in 5 years (as many as in the previous 95) and a play-off appearance at Cardiff in front of the biggest ever following of awayday Poolies.

We also made the 4th round of the cup. So by your criteria they have been a success.

You know plenty of people willing to put in the minimum £500k a year to keep us afloat AND who are negotiating to buy the ground and then redevelop it do you??

Are you on smack??? If not you are literally the most spoiled and unaware football fan I've ever heard of, FFS appreciate what you've got.

They've chucked about ten million in up to now. Now if all that was to buy a bit of land behind Morrisons then you had better show me the logic and the maths.

I am one of pools most loyal and knowlegable supporters. I will go head to head on tv with any of you cretins about all things pools.

If I am all the things you say why keep this post going.

I'd be fascinated how, given Hartlepools history, sociologically and economically over the last 60 years, you propose to turn it into a big town, with a big populace and a massive successful football team?? sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

Go to companies house, and investigate the annual returns of 99.9% of clubs outside the premiership and show me how many chairman/holding companies have put £800000 per year into their respective clubs and not gone onto sell every decent player at the drop of a hat, sell the ground or generally run the club into the ground or go into administration, I bet there isn't many and ror everyone you can show me, I will donate £10 to a charity of your choice
