If true I really hope something clicks and the lad makes it, yes I know he is frustrating to watch at times and he hasn't really developed as a player but the lad never hides. Even with some of the grief he gets from the touchline he has the decency to track back, try his best and he doesn't hide

Good Luck Matty.......

Spot on. Couldn't echo my sentiments towards the lad anymore.

we haven't had a left back since Robertson left the club. Why is this?

Robson has had some decent games for Pools (none of them at left back I hasten to add) Not bad on the left wing coming forward. Had a decent enough game on that position the other week

Good luck to him

I always hoped Matty would do well and I did thought he actually would, but it hasn't worked out for him somehow. Maybe the best thing would be a move to somewhere where he will get a regular place and people put some faith in him - he looks like a lad who is a bit lacking in confidence. Under a decent manager I still think he could cut the mustard - go for it Matty lad clappp

Maybe he should have a chat with Paul Arnison or Jermaine Easter. Both were not given a real chance at Hartlepool and both are doing ok elsewhere.

It's the Hartlepool way though innit?, slating your own players to build up their confidence?

It will be a shame to see him go, I have always wanted players like Robson to do well at Pools, rather than mercenaries like Elliot. But leaving will probably turn out to be the best move for him.

To be fair there aren't that many about. Who kicked Shuggy out? Scotty?
I seem to remember his not particularly wanting to leave.
