I'm still an optimist, always have been, always will be, but that was awful tonight. Fact.

I don't mind losing when opponents are better than us or the games are entertaining, but tonight was neither here nor there.

I think Jan Budtz will have to work hard for his place or he could well be gone by the end of the season.

Agree Danny Boy should be sacked as soon as we are in a safe position.

Bet ur glad u saved yourself 20 bar tonight, performance was shocking, I actually felt sorry for budz tonight, he didn't half get some stick from the town end, but he's paid to do the job and like 8 others out there tonight he didn't.

And some were talking about the play-offs prior to this game  banghead

He had 2 decent runs but apart from that he was complete gash, chickened out of challenges, first touch of a baby elephant. having said that he wasnt much worse than anyone else. barker was sh*** yet again, Porter out of sorts, Liddle was poor and Boland, well, he looks finished to me, he reminded me of Denny Ingram ffs.

All in all it was an abysmal performance and the manager should be sacked pronto, not at the end of the season, now.

To be replaced with? Yes he is shite, but he is all we have got & the way IOR operate we wouldn't have a replacement until after the end of the season. Ian Butterworth or Mickey Barron - take your pick!!!!!!!

Which 2 came out ok in your eyes then Mr Tree, I thought that only Liddle was really putting the effort in but when he is carrying Boland like he has for most of the season he loooked lost at times

We were a fucking disgrace tonight.

I don't think I saw three passes strung together. The wind was blowing the same direction pretty much all night and they still didn't account for it.

Northampton were a shocking team and I can't believe we got beat - for once the defence weren't to blame as it was a long range effort that Budtz had hours to save. No bobbles on the ground, nothing. Even if there were, if he was on the fucking floor he could have accounted for it.

Did anyone else see how all the Pools players couldn't even look at him when it went in? They just calmly walked to the centre circle and looked forward, couldn't be arsed with him. He actually shouted something too, but as Matty Robson wasn't on the pitch no-one turned round.

Maybe the preseason game against Newcastle where Budtz threw the ball in the net was an omen. After his bungling at Carlisle, Cheltenham and Port Vale, the bloke needs to go. NOW. Arran Lee-Barret can't be any worse - the lad's only had a couple of starts so I can't see any problems in us taking a chance on him.

0-0 was the deserved scoreline. I've never been so bored.

It was nice to see the Northampton fans and players going mental at full time though - haven't seen passion like that at The Vic in ages

If Budtz plays against Bournemouth I will be screaming for the manager's head regardless of whether we win, lose or draw. He knows nothing and cares even less if he picks the twat again. Surely to fuck we can apply for an emergency loan keeper on the grounds that we don't really have one........................

that point has not been lost on anybody but the deluded. Monkhouse is class - the few games he's played this season he's been class - Oldham at home, Leeds away, but Wilson still blames him for not winning the league by getting sent off at Rochdale last season by the look of it.
Wilson OUT!!!!!
