I always liked Spike, i think he's a bit similar to Micky Barron.... nothing flashy but does the simple things well, good organiser and won't let you down, a proper 'Pools player' if you like. Him and Westy was a class partnership.
Good to have him back!

Totally agree Poolymad, Spike had an excellent game. He was my MOTM too.

His performance was all the more impressive when you took into account the fact it was his first senior start this term.

He organised the back four extremely well, dominated in the air and made some very timely interceptions on the floor. We’ve all seen what a handful Steve Brooker can be over the years, he totally dominated the Pools defence only last month at the Vic. Yesterday, Spike Lee gave him nowt.
