Would it not be advisable to avoid pre-judging players till we can actually see them perform and see what they can do for us.

I never had any issue with him leaving; he was a good player and served the club well

judas - no he just left the club who fed and watered him for eight years and endured his many injuries, on a free transfer when only months earlier they has turned down a handsome bid for him.

Im actually a touch surprised that people seem to rate him so highly.I always thought he was over-rated. Remember when we first signed Nelson to take his place and everyone was saying how nelson was head and shoulders above him!!! So are we now to assume that spike has improved and nelson has got worse????

It's the golden glow ...although I must admit I was very disappointed by the way he left. We should judge him on what he does for us and we have yet to see what that is. I fear too many people are assuming he's gonna come in and do a job automatically.
Can we give him his school report at the end of term and not at the start... if you follow my meaning?
