Totally agree with what you're saying, but I thought that after the transfer window closed
you could only get emergency loans.

I'm not sure that 'our keepers are crap' would constitute an emergency in the FA's eyes.

I really do hope I'm wrong

You cant please some fans can ya!!

We are Hartlepool United for f*ucks sake, although Budtz has dropped a few bollocks recently very few of his mistakes have resulted in goals against us, yes he was at fault for there second goal last night but what about the 3 top quality saves he pulled off during the game dont they count like?!

Time for a reality check, Booing and sarcasticly cheering our OWN players will not help will it?

Are you Tommy Widdrington or something?

So what if we are only Hartlepool, we are a league club with non-league standard keepers. Muppet

No im more of a realist than some, when we get a half decent player we sell them on so were never going to have a really good goalkeeper we just have to pick from whats available.

Do you think its a good idea to boo your own players, It seems to me Budtz is very much a confidence keeper.

I agree with your post Chip, but let's remember that the players CAN stop people doing it! I.E. don't play ridiculously poorly and people won't boo you!

SO WHICH KEEPER DID WE SELL OFF
THE ONLY TIME I REMEBER THE SO CALLED SALE OF DIMI WAS WHEN HE WAS TOUTED BY ANOTHER CLUB
IF I REMEMBER THAT HUFC TRIED TO KEEP HIM HE WANTED AWAY

I THINK MOST OF THE FANS BOOING ARE BOOING AT THE SHAMBLES OF A SYSTEM THE TEAM ARE TRYING TO PLAY TOO
WE KNOW THEY CAN PLAY GOOD FOOTBALL ON THEIR DAY WE HAVE SEEN IT
BUT IT TAKES A CATYLIST OF A MANGER TO GET THEM DOING THIS AND IMO WE DONT HAVE THAT IN MR WILSON

heard a bury fan [or whoever Provett plays for] talking to scruffy claridge on the radio last night who reckoned Provett is the worst keeper he's seen... stpid sctatchinghead

This can be condensed to.....
We are Hartlepool, make do with crap, know your place, cheer on cue...avoid thinking when possible..

What makes it worse is that Turner must have had a say in signing both keepers (seeing as he influences transfers and is an ex-keeper). How could he recommend these two? sctatchinghead

He has weaknesses mainly his size but he's about ten times better than what we have in goal. Still though I didn't see him as the long term answer.

I don't buy all this 'confidence' player stuff you are either good enough or you aren't saying "he is low on confidence" is basically a nice way of saying he isn't up to it.

What boils my piss is the way Budtz lambasts other people when he makes a complete fuck up, he was totally out of order with Matty last night. Also when the second goal went in he booted the ball back to the half way line and one of the Pools players booted it straight back at him, did anyone else see that? I get the impression that the other players don't just have no confidence in him they don't even actually like him.

Last night was the final straw he was a total joke.

If i'm right it was actually George Wood the Goalkeeping coach who recommended these two

Alsowith regards to Bidtz lambasting Matty, Yes Budtz was the one at fault but look back over the season reviews when we had Dimi, every time he was at fault for conceding he did exactly the same.

I agree that both goals were soft goals and should have been bread and butter saves, bu he is also a good shot stopper as demonstrated by two or three saves that kept us in the game.

Can I suggest that if we ever get a settled defence then that confidence will bring Budtz on as well.

In the meantime I don't agree with the jeering him. It won't help him at all and whether we like it or not at the moment he's the best we've got

fans will be fans and if a keeper gaffs like that he will be ridiculed
i am not condoning that it is a fact of life
