Created both of Barkers goals and ran the game in the second half.

sctatchinghead Two good crosses but that was it. Why on earth Leeds want him back is beyond me.

What a twat Thompson is. ONLY creating two goals. FFS! If Pools used him properly ie. gave him the ball to his feet, there wouldn't be an issue.

He slipped chip, he still has the quality to turn a game and we have won every home game he's played scoring 11 goals in the process.

he has his moments, when he has time on the ball, and you can see why he once played at the top level but im glad he is going.

next seasons starting midfield should be brown, liddle, sweeney and monkhouse. all young, quick, and talented. we need to start building a team for the future and not be a last staging post for players on their way out of the game.

I'm with Chip. Thompson has been sh*te for me, his first half at Southend was beyond belief and he wasn't much better first half tonight.

He's far better in the Centre.
On the wing he looked poor, I'll agree, but when Porter came onto the wing, Robson came on & Thompson went into the centre he looked far better.

I've got to say I love the look of that midfield but Thompson has done a job for us we've picked 9 crucial points while he's been here better than we were doing before he signed. I'd rather see those four playing for us every week but I wouldn't say Thompson hasn't added anything.

i think the nine crucial points have also coincided with the return to the side of a certain mr porter.

i know i bang on and on about him, but we just look so much more effective when he is playing well. you can knock a ball into him and he will either turn his man or play someone in.

his through ball for sweeney in the first half was sublime and he drew countless fouls including the two yellows that got the lad sent off.

and in truth the sending off changed the game.

its a crying shame we have havent seen the aussie ace, brownie and monkhouse in the same staring line up since the tranmere game.

I concur

He's here to get fit, he's going back shortly, they won't want him doing anything silly, so we are never going get 100% out of him anyway, We've become the 'Center Parc' however the spell it, of football. .. a rst and recuperation centre...we get our rivals players fit...only in football.
