I am not being sarcastic, but we started off brightly for 4 minutes, they score a soft goal heads drop, they score an even softer goal and what confidence Pools had just drained. Vale were suddenly believing in themselves and if they had went in 5-0 up at half time we couldn't have complained, because poor as they were, they were getting in where it hurt and we had no answer. We were saved by the fact that they were just so bereft of ideas in our box. What turned the game was the sending off, as the lad was one of their reasons they were keeping us out... if I could have picked a player to go off it would have been him. They then replaced the leggy awkward lad up front with Rodgers, but expecting him to do it alone was again putting pressure on themselves and it all backfired on them, saying that, Rogers was 3 inches wide of making it 3-2 to them with 2 mins to goand they were goosed by then, that was how close it was against 10 men at the bottom.
You had to be there to see how bad it was.
Anyone who saw that has to say the only positve thing was the 3 points, that was our Dunkirk, a sort ot tainted success, anyone getting aroused over that display is seriously kidding themselves.
