it seems fans' co-operatives aren't necessarily the way forward if there is a cash flow problem. At the end of the day, money from investment from outside the club has to be found. Thank f**k for IOR. Without them we would be in the Blue Square North within five years. Make no mistake. The only reason clubs such as Bournemouth have been able to stagger on in League One is because they can pull in 7,000 crowds even if they are not doing fantastically well. Pools would be getting just over 3,000 in their league position.

just had a look at their attendances this season - they're averaging around the 5,000 mark. This is what's probably caused the cash problems to bite.

they were making statements recently that administaration was a last resort and that they hoped they could sort things out with their creditors first. Now it looks like they'll have no choice - and another club loses 10 points. In this case, if it means their survival then they should do that - with a Brucie bonus for Pools in that it means there's only one relegation spot to avoid from now on!!!!!

I was talking to some Luton fans at the weekend and offered my best wishes - it must be tough for their fans to see their club in the state it is in. I always feel a certain amount of empathy with other lower league teams (well most of them anyway) - there are less glory seekers at clubs like ours and more genuine fans. Lets hope Bournemouth can keep going.
