More information from the club with regards to their plans (and how those plans are limited by finance and competing against the "big boys"), how the manager wants to play, why certain players have left or not come here, explanations for team selections.

All of this would help club / supporter relations and could only help in getting more people through the turnstiles and backing HUFC.

Just a thought like.

if you think this is bull then i suggest you read the new edition of the fanzine tomorrow and in particular the article by doug maidens about their michaels experience of danny wilsons man management.

oh dear Lord, how I cringed at his funeral when this was alluded to.
I didn't dare cast a sideways glance to see Wilsons face.

Well, I'm getting totally fed up...might not go again after my season ticket runs out. It's getting to feel like giving to a charity where the organisers pocket all the cash
Will miss you all tho sadx

the truth is wilson didnt rate maidens and didnt want him anywhere near his first team.

butterworth didnt rate maidens and didnt want him in his reserve team.

and allegedly neither of them had the time to tell him until he specifically asked to be told.

now you could consider this the outpouring of a grieving father, and you could allege the fanzine is wrong to take advantage of it. but it is actually supported by the first hand testimony of the parents of other youth team players and one or two first team players.

you are either in favour or out of favour at pools. period.

But isn't the case at all football teams, the manager likes you or he doesn't?

Or am I being a bit naive

There's no way Monkey Business would ever do that, in case anyone starts. We were very grateful to hear from Doug Maidens and it was important to him that he had his say.

On the same subject, it always amuses me when chairmen complain in their programme notes about levels of attendances......bearing in mind they are complaining to people that have attended.

It's me they are targetting and you believe it or not have just proved to be the ideal vehicle!
