In our relegation season at this point in the proceedings MK Dons were bottom with 24 points from 28 games. They were dire.
They finished with 50 points.
They therefore managed 26 points from their last 18 games.

The previous season they were very slightly less dire: after 28 games they had 25 points instead of 24!
And they finished with 51 points.
They therefore managed 26 points from their last 18 games.

And who was in charge?

I think most of us would settle for 26 points from our remaining games. Can Wilson make it a hat trick?

Would the points total be enough to keep us up though?

Yeah no team has ever gone down with 59 points.

But that's all they are...statistics. Statistically, because something did or did not happen in the past, does not mean that it cannot happen in the future as any mathematician will confirm else no changes would ever occur.

Well if we take atmospheric pressure as being 14.7 psi, the winds from the East, the dogs been fed and I can stop my head spiinning ........ er, statistically speaking, 4 out of 10 cats will prefer it and promotion guaranteed......I think.

Talking to parmo last night we agreed that we could hardly ask for a better set of fixtures than what we have in Feb/March. We have home games coming up against Luton, Port Vale, Northampton, Gillingham plus trips to Bournemouth, Cheltenham, Crewe. Now of course there are some big six-pointers in there but we would far rather play those games than games against the best in the division. Compare that to Crewe, who travel to Brighton, Leyton Orient and Leeds and have home games against Swansea, Forest and Carlisle in the next six weeks.

Crewe are probably 4th favourites for the drop at the moment behind Vale, Bournemouth and Luton. We should be able to come out of March with a significant lead over them. If we don't, and we go into the last six games still within touching distance of the bottom four, we'll go down.

We should be challenging for the play-off by the end of March!!! :sweeeet:
