It's a friendly for ducks sake, give the lad his 100th cap, thank him for his efforts clappp then left him go and get fat and lazy in the states for the rest of his career.

At least the lad played with his heart on his sleeve, unlikely some of the other so called 'superstars' of the england setup.

if you've got them in Dead Heads Mutters, you will get disqualified if you have a direct hand in the demise of any of your "team".

Dunno about Beckham but the squad should be picked on which players are on form at the moment. Beckham can't possibly be one of these players as he hasn't even played since November, but he seems to just expect to be picked. There are young players playing every week to try and get a chance (Bentley, Young, etc.) whilst Beckham is playing keepie-ups on the beach in Brazil..... i know who I'd rather see play.

After his refusal to play for the under 21's, i'd personally tell Bentley to get fooked!!

I agree with Capello whatever he decides. His job is to build a team for the next World Cup and that must begin now.
There are no minor objectives on the way to distract from that. He certainly doesn't have to worry about selecting a team of seasoned players with the Euro in mind! rolfl

Capello hardly played him at Madrid so being dropped now doesn't surprise me.

HE'S PAST IT...end of story. Start picking the next England team and not perpetuating the Beckham publicity circus by giving him a cap for the sake of it, so he can join the 100 club and put it on his C.V.

With the reputation Capello comes with I would've be surprised if he'd included Beckham. I think he's just asked the rest if anyone else wants to be a prima donna.

after 100\consecutive rostered shifts I asked the boss at work for a nice present. He told me to get back to work.
Actually I didn't do that, it was an analogy.
Why should Beckham get his 100th cap? Pick the team on merit, not sentiment.

That 100th cap would add to the Beckham legend and no doubt be a very useful addition to the Beckham brands' portfolio...
