Why isn't he given more of a chance in the first team ?

For the reserves he has played fairly consistantly and in his 11 games scored 15 goals.

Fair enough reserve team football is completely different, but this guy knows how to hit the back of the net. I dont remember the last player to score so many for Pools reserves.

Now instead of using him sparingly as a sub, put him in there for a run of matches and allow him to adapt and gain first team match fitness.

Take a look at Joel Porter for example, he failed to produce earlier in the season because he basically wasnt given a proper chance. Against Southend however we saw the old Joel Porter when he was given 90 minutes and support from other players, as a result we scored 4 goals.

Wilson has accused Mackay of being naive, well perhaps that naivity is something we need. The pressure is surely mounting on the players/management and has reflected in poor results. Its looking unlikely we will sign a new striker today, so let Mackay be our new striker.

What im suggesting is

Porter+Mackay up front
Brown+Monky on the wings

Pace and skill galore. rolf

I agree. He seems to have a strikers predatory instinct. Start him up from with Porter.

He looked confident to me when he came on the other day. The only problem was with him being an out-and-out striker he needed balls delivered to him, even slim-chance balls, but that was one thing he was never going to get.

I reckon Brown and Porter up front

Mackay on the right wing, monky on the left

Why put Brown upfront? He is scoring and playing very well from the wing.

One of the stupidest things Wilson could do is take Brown off the right wing since its one of the few positions that we are strong in.

It would basically mean learning a whole new position for both Brown and Mackay stpid

I realise Brown has played up front before but he must be used to playing on the wing now, especially the right. His link up play with the right back is often exceptional.
