So where the fook are you going for the PMP? It's only an hour and a half's drive so there'll be plenty of time!

Donny away was one of the first fixtures I looked for last summer.

But the way we've been playing recently and the fact that it's on a week night have made my mind up that they're not worth spending the money on at the moment.

I'll be there Mr Head. At least with two of us we can start a chant of 'Danny Wilson's Blue and White Army'.

I'm missing this one too, I have never ever missed a game so close in proximity whether it be saturday, or a tuesday night but have no faith anymore and really cant see us getting a result.

We live in hope!!!!

it really wouldn't make any difference if 100 or 1000 went to Doncaster tonight. Despite the players being "up for it" and "determined to cut out the silly mistakes at the back"

Ah, the 'only go if we're winning' contingent.

Such short memories.

Personally I would sacrifice a bollock to be there.

not true - we're the only go if we're not "pink lint" brigade!!!!!
I really wish we didn't have this fixture tonight, and the Luton game was the focus of the squad's attention. That game is far more important, but unfortunately tonight's games mean we could be back in the mire before we play Luton - and that would be bad.
No games tonight = no mire before Saturday.
I hope it freezes or thunderstorms/floods/tidal waves - anything - happens so all tonight's League One games get called off.

It's chucking it down here on the North Yorks/Lancs border, not as cold as chilly China though

Hah!! Goddim, quantify that you bounder!!

Mr Avenger, it is indeed very chilly here at the moment you wouldn't believe that the tropics could be so cold. My tropics are anyway, I can't find them most of the day.

However we do know that in not less than four weeks it'll change and we can look forward to eight months of searing heat.

Cold as yesterdays promises at the moment though.... sadx sadx sadx

Haway chip we'd scored 12 goals in a week and won three games 5-3,4-1, and 3-0 before we played Lincoln, hardly the same as current form. More people are going to go to a Friday game as well as most don't have to get up for work on the Saturday. We took over 600 to Huddersfield on Tuesday night in November that's a better comparison.

We'll take between 400-600 I reckon and I'll be one of them

Looks like I'll be having my pre-match pint before I leave then.

For the record the weather 15 miles east of Donny is overcast but dry with temperatures around 9°C.

Our away fixtures have been cack this season.

Everywhere is miles away and the ones that aren't have either been on New Years Day at one o'clock or Tuesday nights  The only close Saturday games were Leeds and I suppose Forest. We'd have taken loads more to Donny on a Saturday.

See y'all in the ground then!

P.S.

The Stadium has its own Sports bar on the outside of the West Stand. Away fans are admitted to the bar (unless there is an objection to this for some games by the local Police), however the bar soon fills up prior to the match and so can be difficult to get in. Inside the stadium John Smith's bitter and Fosters lager are available at a cost of £2.70 a pint.

not at all Mr Garth. I've almost spat me cup of tea out laughing, at the headline on the Mail's back page, after an interview with McCunnie.
"We Cun Still make play-offs"

rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl

Has anyone told them Pools are in serious shit if we lose tonight and other results go against us??

I made a comment recently about them all being in denial, and how concerning it is to me for them not to realise the shit the club is in.
It's a relegation battle FFS, and until results change for the better it will continue to be a relegation battle until further notice.
WAKE UP POOLS PLAYERS YOU F*****g IDIOTS!!!!!

A deficit of defeats to wins, of more than three games, and you're in trouble. We're already at a deficit of three. That means a defeat tonight and we are in trouble.
I hope we can scrounge a point somehow, but I'm not at all confident because the defence is so poor. We'll look like scoring, but we won't look like keeping them out.
Another away defeat and that's one point from a possible 27 away in the League. I wonder if they'll still be talking about the play-offs if that happened. They need to knuckle down and start f*****G working hard, throwing bodies in the way like Cheltenham did last week. I haven't seen that from a Pools defence for ages. They should stoip the talking and start f*****g doing the business on the pitch, where it matters.

That's about the most relevant comment I've read about the match. To sum it up in 6 words, we never offered the slighest threat.
Our strikers never got one single quality ball delivered to them. Porter and Brown were left to try and beat their defence single handed any time we got forward. I'll tell you what though - all those long balls to David Foley were class!!

But you know what, this game wasn't that much different form the last one I saw, at Luton. The goals came at the same time, their first goal was a carbon copy of Luton's, the second one was a "whoever gets to kick this ball first wins" kind of goal just like Luton's... the only difference was we didn't enjoy a Vince Barker penalty to reduce the deficit.

We're all pîss and wind. And that's with what was probably the best available team on the night.

Strange comments. sctatchinghead Can't see any comparisons at all with the Luton game at all. At Luton we had the majority of the chances and possession but just couldn't finish them off, ALB did nothing all match apart from pick the ball out of the net and we should have got something. The goals weren't even slightly similar either. Last night we should have lost 12-0 and got destroyed for the whole game.

I can't agree there. In the first half I thought both teams were equally shite apart from the one incisive move by Donny that led to their goal. The only prolonged period of pressure they had was the last 5 minutes when it was us that should have been pressing. But as I said, we never looked like scoring - and we didn't at Luton either.

The only similarities were that we never really looked like scoring. At Luton we had all the possession but didn't do anything with it, opposition fans told us how well we played and we deserved something from the game. Sorry, just can't see how you can draw similarities there given how we got destroyed yesterday.
