My Computer keeps crashing....the last week or so....and this comes up on a Blue Screen....

I haven't got a clue what all that means!!!!

Download this and run it, one bit at a time, you'll have to untick the boxes and then go for Junk Files first, then registry clean.

It sounds like your computer is full of rubbish. Maybe the tires are flat like that bike at Cheltenham.

Do a defrag (if you already haven't - Right click on my computer, go to disk management)

start backing up your files etc to cd's or an external hard drive if you can. Usually when you start getting errors like that a fresh install of windows is the only solution

If you haven't had any joy by monday i'll see one of the lads at work, they have a big database of errors like this and how to solve them

You've got the much dreaded Blue Screen of Death Mutters!

You can try searching for the error code with Google, but to be honest you probably need someone that really knows their way around computers to take a proper look at it. A quick dig around suggests it might be the memory (RAM) - there are utilities you can download to test it - or possibly some other hardware (System BIOS etc) - has anyone done any upgrades involving opening the case recently?

And as Mr Spunktub has said, when you've done the above, run a defrag. If all the garbage gets washed out, it'll need one. Might be better to set that off when you go to bed as they can take ages.

Re-format it. Guarenteed to work.

If it isn’t, open it open and remove one of memory modules, they look like this

Reboot and see if it boots OK

If it does, it’s likely it’s the other one that is duff

It's quite easy to do Mutters, just don't do it after eight cans of Smiths!
