Have just been listening to this band - awesome. They played last years Glastonbury & got good reviews. The track Pulse is my favourite at the moment.

Also with reference to Kev, The Cocteau Twins are firm favourites in the Hawklord house. Robin Guthrie is now living in France. Shame they cannot do a "My Bloody Valentine" & reform for some gigs.

I have that very album and it confirms Cooke as one of the top boys. A Change Is Gonna Come is one of the best of all time for me. I reckon Otis was the best of the best though along with Charles, Cooke. Marvin, Curtis Mayfield and Stevie W. But some days I think Al Green is the best.

If it's a woman you're after by the way may I recommend Candi Statton (anything, but her latest - His Hands - is an absolute corker). clappp

Is that the long deleted K-Tel classic 'From Ska to Rock Steady'?

Given your obvious liking for Ska and beyond you would appreciate the newly re-released Lee 'Scratch Perry' CD which I bought today and am now uploading onto the i-Pod: Chicken Scratch; the great man's first recordings for Studio One from the 60s. Perry is for me more important than Marley - I certainly prefer his music. Just a preference like :sweeeet:

Sorry - didn't notice your crombie. Funnily enough, being an old git and thinking the trojan box might be a clue I was thinking mods rather than skins. Mods on scooters - the ultimate style icons imo. Only ever rode pillion myself though :sweeeet:
