Just seen it on Tyne Tees news, how soft was it?
I was totally mystified last night when it was given, as was our lass.
Several people around where I was sat couldn't work out what it was for either.

I was the only one around me who didn't think it was a penalty last night he went down like he'd been snipered by a Jap.

I'm feeling smug after seeing the TV replay

Mind Antwi and Nelson should have cleared the fooker before it happened.

thought at the time it was a shite referee given by a shite ref.

southend's mccormack = 5 fouls and three last warning before he gets a card

pools' nelson and mccunnie = 1 foul each, 1 yellow each.

anyone see a theme developing ?

Not seen it on the telly yet, but the only reason I could see for him giving it last night was cos he had given us one.

The one that really stood out for me was their no 4 who tripped Robson when he was away, then 10 minutes later did the same to Sweeney.
I said to our lass, "he's off, two yellows" but I hadn't actually been watching after the first blatant trip and didn't realise he didn't get booked first time.
McCunnie made one foul, the classic obstruction where the forward pushes it one way and runs into the defender.
What could he do to get out of the way?

Agree with Ripper.

Their penalty was hilarious, it was a dive, he didn't go for ground until a couple of steps after the tackle!

A Southend player also handballed it in the lead up.

Boyeson was shite last time against Bristol Rovers so no changes there.

What made me laugh was the Virgin Media commentator who said "surely a penalty"...

Is that the fella who was getting a talking to from the ref who actually pointed out several fouls yet failed to produce a card
