Reckon I can make it if I set off from Hartlepool at about 5.15?

230 miles it is, no bother doing that in 2 hours but how bad's the traffic likely to be?

bloody friday night games!

Nip and tuck. There'll be problems around the M62 and at the Blyth roundabout. I'm leaving Worksop at 5.15 hoping to be down the pub by six-ish. Where's everyone drinking?? Their club seems favourite.

You will hit all the tea time traffic on the A1 (and the potential traffic jams) but you may get lucky. Then you have to drive along that poxy A57 road for about 40 miles when you leave the A1, and if you get stuck behind loads of slow moving traffic along there you've had it - unless you want to risk overtaking a few times along there (I wouldn't in the dark personally).
Then there's parking around Lincoln's ground is a nightmare at any time, never mind if you're late getting there. That could add another ten minutes on your time by having to park so far away from the ground.
In my opinion, you won't make it for kick-off unless you are lucky and you can average 70 all the way (not easy with the A57) - you might get there for between eight o'clock and quarter past I reckon

You can ignore the A57 and go in on the A46. Bit longer but much faster.

And you save 25p on the Dunham Bridge which is a bonus.

But you don't get to spit out of the window in Darlinton.

When I travel up from Worksop it's about an hour and a half door to door but that's normally on a Saturday morning. If I travel to Lincoln from Worksop it's about 40 mins. This only gives you 20 mins to beat an snags so its risky at best. banghead

Aye, all in all my post was a euphemism to try and tell you not to bother setting off at 17:15!!!!
An hour earlier will give you a fighting chance, that's all.
