It actually took them from outside the playoffs to top of the league despite the leaders at the time - QPR and Plymouth - not doing a lot wrong. As it turned out, the leaders kicked again and City missed auto promotion by a point from QPR. But it was a hell of a run.

Yup, Danny has done something I suspect very few managers have ever matched: winning eleven league games on the bounce. And not that long ago.
I can't remember when Pools have ever scored in eleven games on the bounce let alone win them!

But Plymouth's 13 wins out of 16 would do me too, although I can't find any way of transferring that to Pools - so I guess I'll stick to Wilson's after all!

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't that Plymouth vs Pools game the day England won the Rugby World Cup? It took some sting out of the defeat, or let's say the defeat didn't stop me celebrating!

Poolie Chrissie was in Plymouth the day before, to see her sister graduate from Uni. But was in North Devon on the Saturday, and didn't get to the match.

And she calls herself a Poolie
