Remind me of any other Manager (and I mean in the whole history of the club) that had us playing football of the type we saw at Coopers first game at Peterborough. Or 4-3 against Luton. Or 3-0 against Sheff Wed, and loads of others.
It was, quite simply the best time EVER to be a Poolie.
It's a pity that we're spending the second half of this season looking back instead of looking forward.

The name you are looking for is Fred Westgarth.
Having said that he did have Luke and Johnson and half a dozen other players who were a cut above ... and consistently so.
