We are all massive Pools fans, all this optimists shite is so dull it's even close to funny. We are all optimists when we can see something to be optimistic about, you can't polish a turd.

Suggesting that paying Pools fans actually want us to lose is as absurd as it is insulting, anyone is entitled to an opinion and my opinion is that your sir are talking shite.

I know we're all massive Pools fans, but why have people turned on our own so quickly?
I didn't see anyone not trying last night, it's then when players should get stick.
Our recent successes have been built around a togetherness and team spirit, slagging our own players off, cheering substitutions etc lends little to the players, some of them new to the club, don't you think they'll be thinking why should we bother for them.

The crowd were remarkably restrained last night, I couldn't believe the apathy from those who were left in the ground at full time. I thought some might have called for his head, and I certainly thought the boos would be far worse.

Our recent success has been built around performing nowhere near the standard of the filth we watched last night, it was fooking garbage and I didn't abuse or boo any of the players. What else can you say about that performance? FFS even Danny Wilson said it!!!!

Now then I just so happened to do my groceries in Scunthorpe last night, not long after their match had ended, and talk was rife. Just in case you didn't know Scunny haven't won at home for four whole months, and they duly inclined to Wolves yesterday.
Surprisingly, perhaps, the talk was not all about "Adkins out". Apparently their team had tried their hearts out but just didn't have the quality. They can't afford the same kind of player Wolves can and they can't seriously hope to buy better than what they have with their limited resources. So they are just about resigned to relegation but are not going to slate their manager for failing to produce miracles.

I think the difference between that and Pools' situation is that we know we do have quality, more than enough to be comfortable in this division, so that's not a valid excuse for losing so many games. OK one or two players might be on the treatment table but what's left should be good enough to get by.

So I have to accept that either there's an attitude problem at the moment, which Wilson is not getting to the bottom of, or it's all down to an understrength defence led by the goalies.
I was optimistic when we were turning in those good performances earlier in the season, but no, I am not optimistic now. I do believe Wilson can do something to reverse the situation (unlike Scott), but if he ain't gonna do it then there's not much point in his hanging around is there. The only person who can make him change tack is Hodcroft. But do you remember the big upswing in form when Hoddy tried to tell Newell how to play?

Jock is still in the Billy Horner time warp so every thing is fantastic right now.

Thats my point how can we winge at pools now after what we have seen in the past that is why you are optemistic these times out weigh those times by far.
