.... but is the trouble with Wilson the fact we have a manager, when what we need is a leader... there is a big difference. We don't have a leader, we the fans have had sundry footballing versions of 'suits' whose sole concern seems to be 'the team', totally ignorant of the fact that the supporters can have a big say in the performance of any team. It's apparent that since Cooper left we've had managers who seem only interested in the 'team' and not the package as a whole, including the supporters.
The crowd has been very quiet for a few years now and I believe there's been a transition from regarding the supporters as an integral part of the club, to a group to be kept at arms length from the club to mere customer status, in much the same way a person who attends the cinema is treated....and we all know it's really not like that.

it's no exaggeration for me to say that if Pools were to suffer relegation this season, with the way I'm becoming more and more disillusioned with the never-ending cycle of greed and lack of loyalty in professional football these days, I'm seriously thinking of packing in going as a full-time supporter.
I would carefully pick and choose which home and away games I went to in future.

We as supporters have become mere football consumers, ....milk cows, even at our level........

I've always thought 'what's in it for IOR'. IOR have put in a lot of money - it's about 5 million pounds up to now. Is this some kind of tax loss, an ego trip, charity or some kind of investment. Surely it isn't for publicity reasons - it's not like you can by some 'IOR' and at our level it hardly keeps the name in the public domain.
So, do IOR care - they've pumped the money in with little or no chance of recouping it and with these resources in the 3rd division the club should be doing much better.
Whether Wilson turns it around or not there will be seeds of doubt about his abiliity amongst players, supporters and I guess, IOR. Wilson's record at this level is not great is it? Look at his record at MK. Maybe last years run was a freak run, although I tend to think it was confidence breeding confidence with the real leadership coming from Mickey Barron.
It's now a tough call for IOR do they risk repeating the mistakes of Scotts era or act now. A lot depends upon the reason IOR are in it for and as they keep the cards close to their chest I don't suppose anyone really knows.

Mr Snow, I truly thought you were a more grounded person than that.

It's been knocked out of him and me and countless fooking others, but of course, you must see the positives from two wins out of fifteen!

I'm giving it serious thought

Or should I just accept relegation like Wilson, the players and IOR seem to be doing once again?
