Who's better, Foley or Rae?

I don't manage to get to the reserve matches, and judging by what I've read on here you seem to go a fair bit.

No point in giving Rae a contract if we are never going to try him, so time to get him involved.

Don't want him to be the next Ste Turnbull, he's like 29 now and has never played a game since he was born.

no i don't get to a lot and people on here question my intelligence all the time
but

two differant styles of player if i was replacing which i would barker then i would put Rae in how is he going to learn any more now at 21 years old the kid knows where the goal is he is very mobile and big enough to put him self about on the front line
Foley for me is a winger a good winger in my opinion best suited in coming on late against big tired defenders
where he can excell speed on the ball if just a little one dimensional but that will come with more experience given the chance which since DW has came very little in the way of chances have come to our developing players apart from brownie who as we all know is an exceptional talent
if they consistantly loan out these lads supposedly to learn their trade what chance have they to become part of the first team set up if you are not even training with the first team then what is the point of developing these lads to this age and clearing them out surely their potential or lack of it can be spotted sooner than the age of 21/22

Play them or let them go.

Only Matty Rob and Brown have ever really had a run in the first team.

Brown didn't set the world alight at first and took a bit of time to find his feet.

So put them in and stick with them!

Micky Rae's a year younger than me which would make him 19-20. I played one pre-season with him when I was about 16, the lad was a year younger than rest of us and playing in a good side and he just looked a class apart. Things change but he seems to be doing it in the reserves, what have we got to lose by giving him a chance? It's not as if we're playing brilliantly at the minute.

as the gremlin said other managers gave the younger players a chance not the case with Danny

Rae has scored goals but never given the chance

the same with the youth team they dont get the chance playing reserve football
look at the substitutions never makes them and Butts is under Danny's orders

so he just want to buy ready made players off the shelf

I think a change of keeper would possibly galvanise the back four into concentrating on their own game once again, instead of worrying when a cross comes in. Hopefully the keeper will deal with it most of the time, and not the centre halves.
Having not commented much on Budtz thus far, I agree it's time to drop him. Why will he suddenly start playing well? Answer = he won't, so drop him and give Barrett the opportunity to claim the jersey.
If he makes a mess of it after a couple of games then it's time to worry - 'cos it means we need to sign a new keeper!!!!! bbolt

rae is not similar to barker but a pure goal scorer and could play off barker better than moore did tonite
