Big Boydie fan me but i'm not sure it would have been the right move to have Adam back at our club.

Says who!?

Do you honestly reckon Luton would have let him join Pools for nothing 12 months after paying £500,000 for him? Not a chance.

No he had his contract canceled to enable him to move to Leyton Orient, it doesn't mean to say the same would have happened if it was Pools who had approached Luton. He was never a free agent.

Exactly.

Luton still owed Pools money for him (instalment payments) so wouldn't let him come back here and still pay them.

Have they paid us fully for him now then?

As I reckon they may not be able to afford it if we haven't.

Orient had to pay his contract up so he could move. He wasn't a free transfer but there was no fee as such.

boyd was a snip for the 150k that Darlo had accepted, we should of signed him or at least made a bid as he was and still is better than what we have.

Boydie or Barker? sctatchinghead sctatchinghead stpid

That wasn't the choice though was it. If you're looking at summer signings the choice (if indeed there ever was a choice) would have been Boyd or Moore.

Don't let the facts get in the way of an ADG rant though, MJ!

I liked Boydie as a player and wouldn't be upset if he was in our squad now.

But how many times did folk cry out that we should sign a big powerful centre forward (at least as an option to use) before Barker signed.

I don't think that Barker is the problem as he is useful at times. I think that the problem is the way that Wilson uses him and the amount of time he gives him on the pitch.
