We missed Brown, Boland, Monkhouse, McCunnie, Clark and Porter.

That's 6 first team players that were all missing. It was always going to be a bit unorganised after Brown and Boland got ill.

We are quite unlucky in terms on injuries at the moment, lets not forget that.

First 2 minutes of the first half were ok. From then on we were total shite.

Butdz had no confidence and kept spilling the ball and making woeful passes. This was more infectous than the virus sweeping Pools.

The defence then lost confidence and started being sloppy.

The midfield struggled to string a pass together.

Leyton could have been a couple up.

Second Half we were much better. More organised and less sloppy.

Three bad touches stopped us from scoring when players went clean through.

Their was a lack of composure in front of goal.

Boyd barely touched the ball. The Leyton players don't play to his strengths.

Draw was a fair result.

We'd had won with some of our injured players back...I hope.

With a fully fit squad we have nothing to fear.

Anyway...

Much better than shite is usually piss.

In the first half:we couldn't string a pass together, we created nothing and we defended like idiots.
2nd half: We could, sort of and we created more chances and we defended reasonably ok (ish).

That's not what I meant Mutley - & you know it!!!!

1st half we were shite - I grant you that

2nd half, although we weren't good. we created a number of chances that on another day we would have scored, leaving the ground I felt we had been unlucky not to win

I also thought we were better first half than second half. Not by much, cos we were largely shite throughout, but still better. I've been critical of Boland the past couple of games but I'd still much rather have him back in ahead of Sweeney - the lad was non-existent yesterday. I actually can't remember him doing anything. Moore, Humphreys and Nelson the pick of the bunch. I also thought Antwi played reasonably well.

after mckay hit the bar who missed the follow up from 8 yards by the way ? this is a genuine request for information as i couldnt see clearly due to the wifey in front of me leaping up and throwing her arms in the air.

i will feel a lot better if it was barker.

Im pretty sure it was Elliot who missed.

i thought it was hard to see which team was the worst side yesterday
we dont need many like that to reduce the crowds
so much differant from the leeds game and only two changes to the side
i dont know what system we were playing yesterday but we looked like strangers

It was Nelson.......

I thought Elliott was one of our better players yesterday (which isn't saying a great deal) as he was against Leeds at least he wanted the ball and put over some good crosses, it appears he's become the 'escape goat' now Matty Robsons out of favour

Elliot was terrible yesterday, not one of the better players at all. stpid sctatchinghead

I still dont understand why he is on freekicks its either over the bar or at the wall

I would honestly rather have Matty Robson(if fit) play on the left at least he would give pools the pace that we desperatly need.

He put over some really good crosses from set pieces and in general play, yes he did a terrible miss kick late on but I didn't think he had a bad game. He wanted the ball and didn't go missing like some. Nolan on the other side had an absolute mare though.

why do people insist on this " he put over some great crosses bollox ? "

when humphries gets the ball he actually looks up before he decides what to do with it. sometimes he will cross the ball, sometimes he plays a ball into the feet of a player in the box.

elliott just whips in crosses without looking up. they look good but very rarely pick out anyone other than a centre half.

three times in the last 20 minutes he got the ball at his feet under little or no pressure in his own half and whacked the ball the length of the field straight thru to their keeper. considering he played at the top level this is frightening.

his shots from free kicks have been totally shite and
as for his throw in straight to their keeper stpid stpid stpid there wasnt a pools player within 15 yards of where he threw it.

I've got nothing against him but that pretty much sums him up for me.
