I went last night (St Pauls C of E, Chessington) for the first time in about 10 years, albeit only because my eldest was in the school choir who were part of the service for the evening.

The traditional service and hymns did not do enough to encourage me to go back but there was some great 'modern' songs that were sung by the Vicar and choir that I really enjoyed. Would also say that I 'bumped' into 2 different people that I hadn't seen for years so the church certainly lived up to being a focal point of the community in my eyes, even if I am not religious.

Laughter is a religion isn't it? After all we couldn't live without it.
