I know many people can't afford to go to all the games because of Mr Hodcroft putting up ticket prices, but I was looking on ITMC last night....

Round about this time in 2005 we beat Gillingham 3 - 1, we won 3 - 1 and in that season we would of course get relegated.
We were at that time in the same position in the League as we are now but still got 4,522.

This year when we beat Tranmere 3 -1 at home, we were round about the same position as three years ago but only got 3583 (nearly 1000 people less) and League One is a very tight league with promotion by no means out of question - we were in a dodgier position at this time last season and we all now what happened next.

An open message to all of you: Please go along and give the lads of some of that magnificent Poolie support if you dropped out because of the results, they do appreciate your support and as the Tranmere result showed you could miss unexpected goals and wins.

NEVER SAY DIE.

THANK YOU.

In fairness to Sir KH, he does claim that the promotion triggered a 20% rise in the players' wages and I guess we want to keep our players by and large.

May be it's all about cost, but perhaps one other difference which affects crowd size is that Tranmere followed a string of three losses this season whereas Gillingham was after a couple of wins in 05-06. Mad John can plot league positions better than me, but my recollection is that in October/Nov 05, we weren't doing badly

We also sold a hell of a lot more season tickets for that season on the back of the cardiff final.

Players like Darren Williams, Lee Bullock, Chris Llewelyn etc.... were supposed to make a big impact and take us to the championship automatically

Well no doubt we'll get some once a season type somewhere near us.

And then they'll get upset by our varied language.

And then they'll move.

My record is about 30 seconds for a group of part-timers to decide to choose another spot on the terrace to stand.

I hate sell outs also...
I always seem to have a 'once a seasoner' stood next to / behind me, who will ALWAYS say to his equally negative mate "this is why i stopped coming here" or the old favourite "typical fookin pools"

You can guarantee that there will be someone who I have never seen at the match before stood in my spot when I get there.

I remeber that group Ripper  are you sure it was as long as 30 seconds

i hate sell outs cos nobody sits in the seats they are meant to, they just sit in the seats they always do and then some once a season tossers turn up ten minutes after kick off and demand to be in the seats it states on their tickets. the people who are in the newcomers seats tell the stewards they are sitting there because someone is in the seats they were meant to be sitting in and at that point the stewards realise nobody is sitting in the seats they are meant to be sitting in and we all play musical chairs without the music.

pools would save some hassle by changing the ticketing to unreserved seating.
any road I'll be in someone's spot cos we've got tickets for the mill house terrace(for the leeds game) haven't stood there for about 10 years, was always a good view.

i will give you a clue. he is a c*** and a member of parliament.

Oh how I wish he had been in Mutley's seat. I'd pay very good money to watch that. (and get a few sly digs in)

I hate sell outs, because I've had other things on my mind recently, and kept meaning to get along and buy our tickets, but never got around to it. So that's 3 out of 5 of us not going next week, and one of our season ticket holding lads can't find his ticket. So I may well be a taxi driver to our 1 representative, and then go and visit my mother for a couple of hours.

I love sell outs, it means more money into the club from ticket sales, more money into the club from programme sales, more money into the club from food sales, more money into the club from match day lottery ticket sales and on the whole a better atmosphere which gets through to the players who lift their game.

Some of you lot are right miserable bastards!
