Lots of people do.

Especially the elderly.

the socialist Labour party is DEAD, Mr Gremlin!!! I fail to see how you see this incarnation going under the name of "Labour" as being the same political entity of 1945 to 1980's.
Would a Cabinet containing the likes of Wedgy Benn or Michael Foot or Neil Kinnock have overseen spending horrendous amounts of money going to war alongside the Yanks in the Middle East, at the same time allowing NHS hospitals to close?
You are clinging to something with a name, and not the substance behind what made that party what it was - i.e. the working man's party.

i too mourn the labour party of old parmo but i just don't like or trust the alternatives cameron ,thatcher, major ted heath was the only one that had the guts to stand up against that woman and his own party helped her to destroy him
Hugh Gaitskill john smith were my heroes and i have a lot of time foe wedgie
when ever did a tory party do anything to help the working classes?
you will have to remind me as i just couldn't think of any way they did when they were in power
and all the major players in history have had their own wars and all to suit the government of the day
i dont condone any war who ever is in power
but after a life time of voting one way i have not seen any thing in that time to change my views
call it principal if you like but that is the way it will be
the health service was given to us by the labour party and you can't tell me that the tories would help save it
and what of the manufacturing base she ruined as well as the pits
ok you will come back and say they were not viable but is keeping thousands on the dole a viable option
dons tin helmet :uhoh:
the next best thing to old labour is what we have now and for the last fifty four years plenty in Hartlepool have felt the same

There's been carbon trading in the EU for some large industries since about 2005 under the EU Emissions Trading Scheme. It was one of the reasons that energy prices went up. The number of permits reduces under phase II of the scheme which comes in on the 1st January so bills will go up once again. Government are just trying to disadvantage everyone else in the world so that we are not economically damaged by their unilateral actions.

If CO2 emissions need to be reduced - why do they have to hold these confereces in places like Kyoto or Bali or Rio de Janeiro- they're hardly a good advert for minimising air travel. And why when the BBC want to lecture us over reducing emissions do they have to send a reporter to the north or south pole.
