Went Christmas shopping yesterday in Newcastle and there's a market there.
Bought some burgers; ostrich, springbok and kangaroo.
Had the ostrich yesterday and having the others now, all of them at least 95% meat, and they're tremendous.
You could tell which is which by tasting them, honest.
I love eating animals me
Our lass reckons she's "devastated" cos we're going to my mams for Christmas day and she's cooking pork. Anyone else reckon Turkey's overrated? Surely just a big bird to feed lots of people?
Mmmm....what animal should I eat next? Suggestions welcome

sctatchinghead ...so how can you tell which is which by tasting them...? Was the kangaroo jumping all over the plate, did the springbok leg it and was the ostrich f*****g violent?

The kangaroo was the most chewy so I translated that to bouncy.
The springbok was a bit less bouncy and lighter
And I had the ostrich yesterday so cant really remember about that one too much

It's the other 5% that does your stomach in gourmet burgers.

Turkey isn't over rated by the way - I think that award goes to Italy.

I'd never eaten duck until I got here but the way they cook it with lemon and garlic is mouthwatering. Not too keen when the feathers and meat cleaver are flying like......

Had a lovely bit of Gazelle a couple of weeks ago at a place near Durham. It was called 'The Floaters Mill' or something like that. Always has something a bit out of the ordinary on the menu apparently. Was a toss up between Gazelle and Reindeer. Scrubbed round the Reindeer as Christmas is approaching and couldn't take the risk of leaving Santa underpowered.
With regards to Sprouts and Cabbage - Devil's Food. Nasty nasty stuff.

I'm just tucking in to me sprouts and cucumber sarnies as it happens.

The real disgusting things are those sea cucumbers. Revolting creatures.
