They've just had a piece on the news from Seaton where the fellers wife lived. Apparently she's sold the house in the last couple of weeks......barrel of last weeks fish there like!

The woman who was doing the report was stood on the prom in front of The Green, must say she looked........er windswept.

Never heard that before like.

Does anybody think he's been abducted by aliens?

Or will we find out if she got cashed up from a life insurance policy before going to a country with which we don't have an extradition treaty just before he turns up?

Worked with John for years. A strange bloke indeed.
Funnily enough when he dissapeared there wasn't one colleague at work who thought he'd drowned, all to a man said he'd done a runner.
Have chuckled a lot today at what the hell could have happened, as I said a strange strange bloke

some reports say they had two houses
one on the cliff at seaton
she declared herself a widow six months after he went
sold the houses six weeks ago and shipped out to either panama or jamaica depends which report you read
then he turns up again
whats the bet you can't reclaim insurance from jamaica
i reckon that smell of fish drove him out of the attic

Howcome everyone suspects skullduggery here ?
The guy was a prison officer & spent his working life in the company of badly done to innocent men.
No way would he have been party to any iffy schemes or plans in there would he.

But why did he go and hand himself in. Why didn't he just sit beside the pool and enjoy the sun. Did she run off with a Panamanian milkman or something.

Yes that's right, by passing the cost back to you and me

Lock him and his wife up for a nice long stretch

I'm not condoning what he did, but locking him up for life is a bit strong!!! His crime is to have defrauded the insurance company. If they caught everyone who's ever done that and locked them up they'd need to build a few more prisons!

Who mentioned life?

Fraud is fraud, how much did they claim?

A fair wack I bet!

Added to the fact, the man hours the OB are now having to put in, the fact they both let their kids think that their dad was dead, make the both tossers of the highest order in my eyes!

Again, laughing boy, I don't disagree with your sentiments, however the fact that the police HAVE to investigate such an half arsed crime, along with the rescue services, these 2 bounders should be chucked in the for a good stretch

Of course I do. Not actually income tax, but tax on everything I still do in the UK. Added to which they had a fair wedge out of me over the years anyway.

But they didn't did they?? Are you an advocate of these 'what if' crimes like??

Don't get me wrong, I think it's utterly pathetic that the RNLI has to be paid for by donations and I salute each and every one of them.

I miss people who do the sunbed in the sea thing, along with people who jump in the brine after their dogs
They drown, the dog jumps out and toddles off..

But why did these people do it? They had two houses in Seaton that they've sold for so much money that they can now afford to live off the proceeds for the rest of their lives in Panama.
Why not just do that in the first place if that was what they wanted? sctatchinghead
