Hi gents, please forgive me this small indulgence..

Now I know mentioning Christmas this early will not endear me to many but please bare with me on this one. If any of you find the time please look at the link below. It is a project to try and help make Christmas better for millions of children who find themselves with very little to smile about. The problem is the "boxes" need to be dropped at your local collection point by Tuesday, which I know is a bit soon but I only found out about this today. If any of you are able to sort something by then it will be most gratefully received. Creating a box will cost about £10, all of the details are on the link, where your nearest collection point is, suggested ideas for the box etc, rest assured if you can get one done it will add a special something to your Christmas knowing the happiness you have brought to someone.
For reasons I shall not bore you with, the fact these boxes go to orphanages around the world makes it a subject very close to my heart, having visited a few, including one only a couple of days before Christmas 2005, you cannot begin to imagine the difference you can make to a child's life by helping with this.
Again apologies for the short notice, but if you can help please do..

Thankyou.

P.S. it is a multi-faith thing in so far as a "Christmas" project can be..I personally am largely ambivalent where religion is concerned but this IS worth doing I think.

the missus does two of these boxes every year and the £15 or so she spends makes a massive difference to those overseas. We get the leaflets and all of the palava and they are the most genuine smiles I have ever seen.

About 160 boxes were collected from my local Church yesterday (St. Joseph's in Billingham) and taken to the local collecting point at Holy Rosary Church where they will be picked up later this afternoon. I always try to make up a couple of boxes, and it doesn't cost a great deal.

Thanks folks sounds like you are already all over this, as I said you cannot begin to imagine the difference little things like this make to young lives, it is truly humbling to see, well done again and on behalf of those not in a position to say it, ta very much..however, I did lie a bit about Boxing Day, think you'll have to get your Christmas presents on the 22nd..Santa's little helper Den is expecting a late delivery of 3 points on the 26th

Good luck rolf
