Problem with the england team is the manager. Whenever a new manager takes the seat, he plays exactly the same team with the same tacticts & formation as the manager before him. I could do that for 100grand a week

Erikson; second best England manager ever - true story. Result - the sack. Not only that the clowns at the FA then pay 2 managers for a year or two choosing to put the team in the capable hands of by far the worst of the 2, McLaren. Love to see England do well and play with a bit of spirit but really love the fact that we don't get caught up in this international weekend stuff so have a real game to go to.

Well done Huddersfield - wide open this league.

Shhhhhh, you can't say that, Sven wasn't English and that is a SIN

I rated Sven, he would get you to the quarters at the least, and given the shite players he had to deal with, that was good going

Assuming we don't qualify. I experiment with dropping the most of the old guard and replace them with young players.

Robinson, Taffy Williams with a different accent
Wes Brown, do me a favour!!!
Nevilles, both are vastly over rated
Owen, would get an injury passing wind.
Gerrard, just doesn't perform well enough often enough.
Lampard, ditto.
Beckham, I'm not anti-Beckham but he's playing in a shit league and makes Owen look fit.
Ferdinand, doesn't give a shit.
A Cole, same story.
Downing
Alan Smith, has never ever performed for England

We have a couple of years to build a new team starting next week. Even if Russia fail to beat Israel I wouldn't hold out too much hope of this lot beating Croatia.

Do we really want to start re building the national team during a qualification period for the world cup?

We should go all out to get jose Mourinho as the manager, and also we should develop a culture where country comes before club. I believe that some SPL games were postponed last week so that some of the key Scottich players had no chance of getting injured before their crucial game. England simply need a manager to be strong and not to dance to the tune of people like Alex Ferguson.....

So you would value playing for Chelsea or Man Utd more than playing for your country....?

If I was a Man U or Chelsea player then yes I would.
When Effion had the chance of a call up for Wales the other year,if we had beaten Bristol City would you have wanted him to play for us in the play off final or go join the Welsh squad ?

Seeing as the clubs pay the wages they should have first say as to whether players play or not
