Johnstone's Paint Ticketing Problems
Posted on: Wed 14 Nov 2007

The Club would like to apologise to fans for ticketing problems relating to the Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie against Morecambe on Tuesday evening.

We now realise that information relating to free children's tickets was unclear.

As a gesture of good will, those who were wrongly charged £5 at the turnstiles for their Junior tickets on Tuesday night can now claim a free child's ticket for Sunday's game against Bournemouth.

In order to claim the free ticket, fans must produce both their child's ticket bought on the turnstiles along with the adult ticket bought at the same time.

We would like to apologise for this error and also for any inconvenience it may have caused.

PS. Very nice gesture by HUFC. It takes character to admit a mistake as opposed to trying to defend it. clappp

I know I'm being awkward here but when you get the free ticket, do you have to buy an adult one as well?

its better than nothing but it could and should have been hard cash.

Even a five pound voucher for the club shop for season ticket holders would be a canny gesture with Christmas coming up.

I notice the club website is down at the moment. Does that mean last night was a mistake and they are going to renage on the free ticket for Sunday?

I hope not as I'm going to get one this afternoon

The upshot of all this is that people who were promised free child tickets on Tuesday, and who didn't receive them, are now being given instead free child tickets for Sunday....for a match they were very possibly not intending to go to as it will be on TV.
Not that I would want to draw any hasty conclusions

There will be more people at the Vic on Sunday than there were on Tuesday. Those who attended Tuesday but not Sunday will be very much in the minority.

Hmmmm...well I may be wrong, it's happened before

They made a mistake, apologised and put it right. Fair play to them. Viewed next to the annual accounts its a very very minor error.

Went to the ticket office and guess what? The girls in the office didn't have a clue what I was asking for. No one at the club had told them. Fortunatley she went out the back and someone told her but it just shows that they might be celebrating their cententary but their lines of communication are still from 1908.

Something of an overstatement, Mr Talbot. People were only stating facts, (apart from me who speculated perhaps wrongly).

Anyway I'm sure I'm the only person on here who was ever swayed by another Bunkerite's debate and I hereby claim a prize
