Newcastle are surely the most pointless football club in history. If Pools folded and I had to support a North East team, I would SERIOUSLY support Darlington before Newcastle. I couldn't of course but Newcastle would be further down my list than Darlow.

A few years ago I was in the Rossmere wearing a Pools shirt & 4 rarfs in newcastle shirts started having a go because of the Pools shirt.They were that useless that when they finally attacked me all they did was charge like a bunch doils & not one of them actually managed to land a punch.End result was they all got barred from their local boozer whilst I enjoyed a few more beers.
2 weeks later I saw one of them on his own as I was on my way into the pub,he scarpered sharpish

What is their reasoning, their logic in 'supporting' Newcastle...?. It's a bit like the Open University of football, in as much as you don't have to actually go except for a token appearance once a year. The thing that's always baffled me is why anyone would 'support' a team that's won sod all for over half a century, it defies all logic. I suppose. like a lot of things nowadays, that the gullible are attracted to the hype and swallowed the sales patter...they become attached to what they perceive as successful, even though the only 'success' is the ability to sell Newcastle United as successful, despite that fact that by all logical criteria they are abject failures.
We see them all the time, the same type who wears the shirt as a badge of superiority, even though they themselves radiate the fact that they too are social misfits, the shirt is a shield that masks their own insecurity and lack of confidence. They comfort and compliment each other..these people could never support Pools, it's below their fantasy level.
