Just been reading this article from yesterday's Southern edition of the Mirror and Gabby Logan being upset about being knocked out on Saturday

What do you think ?

IT'S meant to be the classy grown-up weekend television alternative to Simon Cowell's brash X Factor.

But for drama, bitching and backstage controversy, BBC1's Strictly Come Dancing is proving more like murder on the dancefloor.

Last weekend, two of the initial favourites, Gabby Logan and Penny Lancaster, were left to slug it out in the dreaded danceoff after wowing judges but failing to win the viewers' hearts and votes.

Given her polished displays, many dance fans were incensed when Gabby was voted off.

The star, 34, fumed yesterday: "I am absolutely gutted to have gone out so early. I thought if you worked hard and were honest, you'd be OK.

Maybe I was wrong.

"I was getting a real buzz from everything about the show. But apparently 'my journey' isn't interesting enough.

"Maybe I should have played the game a bit more. That might be what you have to do to stay in."

I didn't think her performances were 'polished' but she was a sight better than one or two others. The uproar is because she was voted off on the basis of personality not her dancing performance. I was reading an article by my ex yesterday and she had it dead right; Gabby Logan was voted off because the British public don't like to see people trying really hard and being pushy.

Isnt this meant to be a light entertainment show? A show for a few camp judges to give out fake critisisms just to entertain the viewers? If so, what the fook is that daft tart on about when she says her Journey? stpid stpid

Also, if a few of the prancers arent very good, and the judges call them nasty names, I would have thought the public would feel sorry for them and vote to keep them in, just to wind up the judges.

Daft bounders.

She wasn't voted off though. Too many people voted for the likes of Kate Garraway and Kenny Logan (who are complete shiite) due to the slating they both got from the judges. From what i understand, the plan is to get Kelly & Penny in the bottom 2 this week

My point is...

The Great British public are voting to annoy the judges (just as you had indicated). Bruno's perfect 10 for a flawed performance enhanced that notion.

You know shite Dibble, intensive dance training is fooking hard work. I once did a three day intensive advanced course and at the end of it I was completely knackered.

That's because she comes from a sporting background - she was a gymnast so she has the same sort of philosophy and psychology on life that we do I suppose watching Pools.

Two interesting quotes from her:

"I don't have a publicist, I don't have a PR machine. A lot of the others do and maybe I should have considered that."

"My Inside Sport viewers won't vote on SCD." - Well, no wonder, what time is Inside Sport on - when everybody with sense is tucked up in bed at night.

Who's you ex, Mr I ?

Did anybody notice the difference in voting standards between Len and Bruno (7, 8, 9, 10) and Craig (3,4,5) ?

Len giving Kate a 6 for being dragged around the floor was almost as bad as Bruno's 10. Craig is very harsh, but his marking is fairer

I can't figure their voting half the time, it seems that they vote for the popular choice to make themselves more popular. Kate Garraway was appauling.

I laughed when Craig gave Kate a 2. 1 for each leg

Trouble is, the sympathy votes then kick in

This your girl, Mr I ?

Gabby's departure is Strictly out of order

THE BBC has been deluged with complaints about Gabby Logan's shock departure from Strictly Come Dancing.

More than 500 viewers have so far emailed the BBC's Points Of V iew website and more have phoned or emailed its complaints department.

Gabby's husband Kenny has also backed the campaign to reinstate his wife who was booted off the show to save Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster on Saturday night. "We have had a number of complaints about Gabby via the official channels, " confirmed a BBC spokeswoman.

Several online campaigns have been set up with titles such as Re-Instate Gabby - Please! and Strictly A Farce. One user accused voters of having "no regard for talent and expertise." Even compere Bruce Forsyth was fuming.

"Next week, please remember this is a dance contest, " he told the live studio audience. But the comment was apparently edited out.

Sports presenter Gabby, 34, was the fourth celebrity to leave after an almost flawless danceoff with her partner James Jordan against model Penny and her partner Ian Waite.

But her husband Kenny, 36, was saved, despite the judges labelling him a "disaster" with "the grace of a vacuum cleaner".

Last night Kenny revealed he had offered to walk off the show to save his wife.

"I have offered to give up my place and give it to Gabby, but the BBC is not interested, " he said. He is now planning to wear a black armband on Saturday's programme to show his support.

Kenny added that Gabby was "heartbroken". But she bravely returned to the studios hours later to record Inside Sport.

Oooooo theres nowt like a pretentious dancer now is there?

Wearing a black armband cos his bird lost..........whatever next. stpid stpid

That's going a bit far isn't it for a celebrity television show ?

What did he expect to do if him and her got to the final - he wouldn't have done it then, would he ?

If he wears a black armband on Saturday, he's going to get up the noses of the public and he'll be in the dance-off again - it'll be like a lamb to the slaughter.

Ridiculous! If he really wants to make a statement then he should just withdraw from the competition.
