That's fair enough Mr Paddy- I was more referring to some of the other stuff I've read this morning.

I have just watched the Willie Boland incident on virgin several times and at no point did Boland kick or aim a kick at the Brighton player, he pushed him to the ground after being badly fouled himself.
1) Why didn't Cox get a yellow card for the initial foul?

2) Why wasn't Elphick yellow carded for the handball in the penalty area, then subsequently sent off for two yellows ?

3) Why wasn't Savage pulled up for handling the ball before he scored ?

Brightons tactics and antics on the field where nothing short of digracefull.
If fans wanted to clap Wille Boland from the pitch surely it was up to them

agree p.m.t. it is up to people to do that but it angers me that bolo helped lose the game by his action and its not somthing that i would applaud.

We could argue about whether he kicked out or not till we're blue in the face.

The fact is he got a red card and serves a ban and nothing will change that.

in fact, at least one of those red cards was an utter travesty if it includes westwoods in the cup agains the baggies.

and another one was Jack Ross at home to Brentford!!

jeez that cooper stat is mighty impressive, particularly as it was over a pretty long period.

an average of one yellow per game is extraordinary in this day and age and only 3 reds in 119 games.

Yes, Westy v Brom is one of the 3 red cards under Cooper. It was the only red card we received in 2003/04. We had none at all in the League. Having just checked the website, the record under Cooper is even more remarkable than it looks. My stats include all red cards, even if they were later rescinded. So Jack Ross's unfair dismissal against Brentford is also one of those three. The only "proper" dismissal is Antony Sweeney's at MK Dons, when he got himself involved in a fracas with Izale McLeod.

Now that was a sending off!

I hope he does the same to Elphick down at the Withdean (when we're 2 up and there's 3 minutes to play though!)

I think that's exactly it. You wouldn't 'clap off' for a dangerous tackle, but there are grey areas, even if you don't condone the offence

Bingo!!!

No-one is possibly saying that he shouldn't walk for booting an opponent.

Then again, on such a highly charged day, how much shit can you eat without turning on someone? Yes, he's a professional who should know better. Would he be the player he is without that edge??

Well said Madam.

I don't mean Madam in a sexist, sort of sarcastic way like.......... :uhoh: :uhoh:
